Nude by Nature is an Australian mineral make up brand that recently came to the UK. The brand recently launched it's Eye Collection and I was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to attend the event!

The colours are inspired by the Australian colour palette, capturing beautiful shades from the skies, sands and the sea, and are formulated with active natural ingredients such as Australian Kakadu Plum which is known for it's Vitamin C content, Candelillla Wax and Pro Vitamin B5. Not to forget, the collection is packaged beautifully in gorgeous rose gold packaging.

IIAA | Trick or Treat

Earlier this month, I attended the Beauty Blogger Awards at Olympia Beauty, and while I was there, I came across the International Institute of Anti-Ageing (IIAA), which is a company that I've personally never come across before. Since discovering the company and learning about them a bit more, I've been really impressed by what they do and what they represent. The brand stands by their #FeedFortifyFinish philosophy, and believe that the journey to having flawless skin starts from within.

The International Institute of Anti-Ageing consists of three brands; the Advanced Nutrition Programme, Environ Skincare and Jane Iredale Mineral Make Up, and they were kind enough to send me a surprise package* this Halloween to introduce me to their brands and to celebrate the festivities.

The parcel was beautifully packaged and felt SO autumnal. I almost didn't want to unwrap it but I couldn't resist at the same time. As I began to unbox the packaging, I was so pleasantly surprised to discovered the treats delicately packed with cosy blanket and a bobble hat to match - how lovely is that?!

I unravelled the blanket to discover two boxes; one labelled 'Trick' and the other labelled 'Treat' and opened them both to discover goods from the three companies under the IIAA brand, which aptly represent the #FeedFortifyFinish philosophy.

Starting with 'Feed', there were two skincare supplements from the Advanced Nutrition Programme (Skin Omegas+, a blend of Vitamin A and Omega 3 + 6 & Skin Vit A+, a mixture of Vitamin A and D) which I'm really looking forward to trying out. As I've always said, skincare is super important and I totally believe that regardless of the products you use on your skin externally, what you put into your body has a massive effect on the way your skin looks and feels.

To 'Fortify' the skin, I was treated to the Hydrating Oil Capsules and Peptide Cream from Environ Skincare. The oil capsules are formulated to treat the skin with Vitamin A and Vitamin C overnight, and the Peptide Cream is designed to repair and protect the skin from signs of anti-ageing and every day wear.

Finally, there were a couple of products from Jane Iredale to 'Finish'; the PureLash Extender & Conditioner, to protect and strengthen the eyelashes, and the Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in the shade Forever Peach (which just looks like the perfect Autumn -and Halloween!- shade to me).

I'm really looking forward to giving these products a go and embarking on my 'flawless skin' journey. As I mentioned, the IIAA and the brands that lie within the company are new to me, but I admire them for what they stand for, and I'm excited to see how my skin benefits from using these products. I'll keep you posted with how I get on :)

Thank you IIAA for sending me this halloween surprise!

P.S Are you familiar with the Advanced Nutrition Programme, Environ Skincare of Jane Iredale & have you tried any of their products? If so, what did you try and what were your thoughts?

Paul Mitchell Colour Repair Range | Review

Haircare is something that has always been important to me, and finding the right products to cater for what your hair wants and needs isn't always easy. It's almost like 'kissing a few frogs until you find your prince', and in terms of haircare, that's something that I have struggled with.

Just to give you a backstory, I have normal to dry hair, which has been coloured and often tends to lose moisture. I was on the hunt for something that would help to protect and repair my troubled tresses, and while maintaining the colour and giving it the love that it needs.

That's where the Paul Mitchell Ultimate Colour Repair* range stepped in.

Paul Mitchell were kind enough to send me their Ultimate Colour Repair range to try out and the range consists of the Colour Repair Shampoo, Conditioner & Triple Resist Heat Resistant Spray, which I've really been enjoying so far. Specially for coloured hair, the products are formulated with Quinoa, which has reparative properties and helps to lock in colour while strengthening and adding shine to the hair.

I didn't know too much about quinoa or the benefits that it can have for your hair, but after doing a bit of research, I discovered that quinoa is high in amino acids and is a great source of protein for the hair. It penetrates the hair cortex and forms a protective shield around the follicle, which helps to retain moisture and lock in colour. The range is also sulphate and paraben free, provides UV protection and helps to make the hair soft, shiny and easy to manage.

I've really enjoyed incorporating the Ultimate Colour Repair range into my haircare routine. For the last few weeks, I've been using the shampoo, followed by the conditioner, and then I've been spritzing the Triple Resist spray into my damp hair and using it before I do any styling. The Triple Resist is a dual-phase spray that consists of two layers. The top layer works as a heat protect spray which protects the hair from excess heat damage, and the bottom layer contains the Quinoa Repair Complex, which helps to add shine and lustre back into the hair. The spray gives the best results when it's been properly mixed before use, so remember to shake well before you spritz!

Overall, I've really been enjoying the Ultimate Colour Repair range and am surprised that it's the first of Paul Mitchell products that I've tried! I find the my colour has been looking bright and vibrant, and overall my hair has been softer and more manageable for longer.

Paul Mitchell is a salon quality brand, so the products are priced at a slightly higher price point than the high street (the shampoo is priced at £17.50, the conditioner and heat protector spray at £17.95) but the results and the current condition of my hair speaks for itself, so it gets a thumbs up from me!

Have you tried the Colour Repair range or anything else from Paul Mitchell? What were your thoughts?

L'Oreal True Match Foundation | Review

When my everyday foundation started running low and #YoursTruly campaign rolled around, I was totally on board for trying out the L'Oreal True Match Foundation.

The range consists of 23 (yes, I'm being serious!) affordable foundation shades suitable for warm, neutral and cool tones across the spectrum. This is huge considering that the high street foundation market is notorious for having a lack of shades to cater for all types of different skin tones. So when L'Oreal launched the new shades and paired it with a campaign and stories from '23 of the most influential and inspirational people in the UK', I was all over it.

After heading down to Boots and swatching to my heart's content, I decided to go for Shade 4.W, as modelled in the campaign by the lovely Amena, which turned out to be the perfect shade match for my skin!

The foundation is light, fluid, buildable and blendable. It's everything I look for in a good foundation. I generally have normal to dry skin and I love that the True Match is non-cakey and doesn’t cling to dry patches. In terms of the coverage, I'd say that that this depends on what you're looking for from your foundation. The formula blends and builds very well, so whether you prefer a more sheer and natural look, or you'd like a fuller coverage, it's easy to achieve without the foundation looking cakey.

Another observation that I had while using this foundation is that it has tiny flecks of gold sparkles within the formula. These help to give you an overall glow (without making your face look shiny), but they're very subtle and you can't see the specks of glitter when the foundation is on your face. Having 'that glow' is majorly on trend at the moment, so it's nice to see that L'Oreal have incorporated that into the formula.

In terms of price, the L'Oreal True Match Foundation retails at £9.99 and is easily available across the high streets and online in places like Boots and Superdrug. You can find it here.

Overall, I'm really impressed with this foundation and it's so nice to see a brand bringing out so many different shades to suit so many different skin tones. L'Oreal are celebrating diversity and I love them for that!

Have you tried the True Match foundation yet? Did you find a shade that's right for you and did you enjoy using it? I'd love to know your thoughts!

L'Oreal Pure Clay Masks | Review

This is hardly a secret, but I'm a sucker for skincare and I'm always excited to try out new releases & popular products - I love putting them to the test and seeing if they're worth the hype! One of the most talked about products recently has been the new range of Pure Clay face masks by L'Oreal, and when I saw it on offer for £5 a pot in Boots (RRP £7.99 each), I bought two and couldn't wait to try them out!

The L'Oreal Pure Clay range consist of three different masks:
Pure Clay Purity Mask - To Purify & Mattify
Pure Clay Detox Mask - To Detoxify & Clarify
Pure Clay Glow Mask - To Brighten & Exfoliate

These masks are made from a blend of 3 clays; Kaolin, which is known to absorb impurities and excess sebum, Montmorillonite, a mineral rich clay which helps in removing imperfections, and Ghassoul, which helps to clarify the complexion. I personally have normal to dry skin, which can be lacklustre, so I decided to go for the Detox Mask & the Glow Mask, rather than the Purity Mask which I think would be better suited to more combination and oily skin.

Each pot consists of 50ml of product and claims that you can get up to 10 uses per pot. Personally, I feel that a little bit of product goes a long way and the masks apply pretty opaquely on the skin - it isn't streaky and the product is pretty pigmented for what it is. I reckon it would last way more than 10 uses! I also think it's great that L'Oreal offer different masks which are catered towards different skin concerns, and for me, it works very well for 'multitasking'. I find the Detox mask extremely effective, especially around my nose, whereas the Glow mask is great for rejeneuvating my skin all over. I use the different masks depending on how my skin is feeling on the day, and so far, I've found them extremely effective in doing what they claim to do.

The Glow Mask (orange) contains red algae, which has brightening properties. I love this mask because it's consistency; it's really creamy and smooth, but it contains micro beards which gives it an almost scrub-like texture - it's essentially a 2-in-1! The Detox Mask which is grey in colour, contains charcoal, which helps to draw out impurities from within the skin. When I got back from America, I came back with really dull, lack lustre skin and I feel that including the Pure Clay masks in my skincare regime has been a useful staple in my skincare routine. I've been using the masks for almost a month now, and in that time, I've noticed that my skin has been looking a lot more smooth, clear and radiant.

For rest results, I would recommend using a good face mask atleast once or twice a week. The Pure Clay masks a worth a try if you're on the hunt for an affordable, yet effective drugstore mask.

Have you tried these yet? How did you get on?

Maybelline | A/W Launches 2016

If you're familiar with me or my blog/YT channel, you will know that Maybelline is one of my absolute favourite high street/drugstore brands and many Maybelline products have made their way into my everyday make up routine and my list of holy grails.
So when Maybelline got in touch and invited me to join the #MaybellineSquad, I was over the moon and I was so excited to take the opportunity on board. They've been super generous and sent me a bunch of their new releases to try out and I've been having a ball of a time playing around with the exciting new releases.

Here's a look into what Maybelline has this store this Autumn/Winter.

Maybelline Master Strobing Sticks | £6.99 each
Last season, Maybelline launched their amazing Master Contour sticks, so the new Strobing Sticks are a great follow on product to add to the collection. These comes in two shades; 100 (Light-Iridescent), which is a gorgeous champagne toned highlight, and 200 (Medium-Nude Glow), which is a beautiful shimmery pink colour. Both shades have an amazing colour payoff and their creamy consistency means that it last a lot longer on the skin than a powder highlight would.

Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Lip Paints | £4.99 each
As many of you may know, I am a lipstick hoarder (ain't that the truth) - so seeing the amount of brand new lip products that Maybelline has launched this season (and spoilt me with) blew my mind and when I saw the new Colour Drama Intense Lip Paints, I was really excited to play around with them. The new collection consists of 4 shades; 'Never Bare', which is a lovely peach toned nude, (L-R) 'Fight Me Fuchsia', which is all in the name, 'Vamped Up'; a dark purple, and 'Red-dy or Not', which is a true blood-red shade. This lip paints are incredibly pigmented and have a long lasting power - they lasted a fair few hours before the colour started to budge. One thing I'd be weary of is how thick the formula for these lip paints is - a little bit of product goes a long way, so be careful when handling handling the tube and try not to squeeze out too much product.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks | £6.99 each
You should have seen the look on my face when I opened the parcel and so saw many beautiful new lipsticks in so many gorgeous shades! I love matte lipsticks but I'm always weary of them drying out my lips - this is why the new Colour Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks really appealed to me. The new collection consists of 7 new shades in (Top Row L-R) Berry Bossy, Fiery Fuchsia, Midnight Merlot, (Bottom Row L-R) Blushing Pout, Rich Ruby, Orange Danger and Clay Crush.

Maybelline Super Stay 'Metallic Silk' Nail Polishes | £4.50 each
Metallics are majorly on trend this Autumn, so bringing out the new Super Stay Metallic Nail Polishes was a great shout by Maybelline. The collection consists of three shades; 'Rose Veil', 'Silver Satin' and 'Golden Thread' (L-R) - a great mixture of Rose Gold, Silver and Golden shades. I've heard a lot about the Super Stay formula, but this is the first time I've tried it out myself and so far I'm impressed. I feel that a couple of coats is more than enough for an opaque coverage on the nails, and as I'm typing this, I'm on day 4 of wearing 'Golden Thread' with no chips - so I'll report back on how much longer they last. I think these are really classic shades that go on everything and are perfect for special occasions and the festive season.

Maybelline Colour Show 'Preppy Woman' Nail Polishes | £3.99 each
The Colour Show nail polish collection also has a few new additions this season; 'Dear Magenta' (A beautiful berry pink), 'Top Coat Tweedy' (Just look at those sparkles!) and 'Runway Rose' (A gorgeous blush pink nude' (L-R). How pretty are they?

Maybelline Baby Lips Holiday Edition | £2.99 each
I'm someone who always has some kind of lip balm with me at all times and Baby Lips have always been one of my favourites. This season, Maybelline has added two new additions to their collection and they both smell amazing! Not only do they leave your lips kissably soft, but both of the Baby Lips are slightly tinted so they off a bit of colour to your lips. 'Vanilla Cupcake' is named quite apt as it looks and smells like frosting to me - It's a very sweet scent and the formula itself has a light baby pink tint to it. 'Chai Tea Latte' is quite the opposite. It has a slightly spicy scent to it with hints of cinnamon and in colour, it has a dark berry red tint. If you're a fan of Starbucks drinks around this time of year, I think 'Chai Tea Latte' will be right up your street! It's autumn in a lip balm!

Maybelline Rock Nudes Palette | £9.99
I am a HUGE fan of 'The Nudes' eyeshadow palettes by Maybelline! The original Nudes palette is one of my holy grail products which I reach for on a daily basis, and the 'Blushed Nudes' is a lovely selection of shades which have lovely rose gold pigments running through them. The newest to the family is the 'Rock Nudes' palette, which consists of 12 beautiful smokey shades which, mixed and matched, can create lots of different looks. As with the other Nudes palettes, the Rock Nudes are equally as pigmented and a little bit of product goes a long way.

Maybelline Falsies Push-Up Drama Mascara | £7.99
I love trying out new mascaras and the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara has been my holy grail go to for the last few months. That's why when I came across the new Falsies Push-Up Drama Mascara, I was so eager to try it out. So far, I'm really liking it. I find that the long wand reaches all of my lashes in one stroke, and a couple of coats leave my lashes looking long and luscious and it really helps to pull a look together.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Eyeshadows | £4.99 each
Last, but by no means least, there are two new additions to the Colour Tattoo 24 Hour range. I have never tried out the Maybelline Colour Tattos but Oh. My. God. I am OBSESSED with these!
'Breathless' is a beautiful shimmery champagne shade and 'Fantasy' is a stunning almost-pewter toned dark brown. These cream-gel eyeshadows are incredibly pigmented and a little bit of product goes a long way. They also last for ages on the skin.  If you haven't already, I would really recommend giving the Colour Tattoo's a go - it'll definitely be £4.99 well spent!

Lush 'Don't Look At Me' Face Mask | Review

Loads of people love venturing into Lush for Bath Ballistics and Bubble Bars, which is great if you have a bath tub, but I don't...so I always find myself getting excited over new haircare, skincare or all-over-the-body products and somehow, I always end up near the fresh face masks!

Usually, I reach for 'Brazened Honey' or 'Oatifix', which are a treat for my dry and dull skin, but when I went in recently and spotted a bright blue face mask which I hadn't seen before, I couldn't resist and I had to have it!
The Don’t Look At Me face mask is a gorgeous, bright blue, rejuvenating mask filled with zingy Lemon Juice, to cleanse the skin and help even out skin tones, and Ground Rice, to exfoliate and smooth the skin. The mask also contains Grapefruit Oil, which helps to brighten the skin, and Organic Silken Tofu, which is full of vitamins and helps to moisture the skin and improve it's appearance.
Like other face masks from Lush, 'Don't Look At Me' is really rich in texture and a little bit goes a long way - you can get a good 5-6 uses from each tub, even with a generous layer.

I have absolutely fallen in love with this mask! I may have initially bought it for it's colour (...seriously, can you blame me?!) but I'm so glad I did because I've really been enjoying using it and my skin thanks me for it! Yes...I look and feel like a Smurf when I use it, but I love how refreshing it is on the skin and how fresh faced & fabulous I feel once I've rinsed it off!
If you want a pick-me-up and you're after a rejuvenating glow, it's definitely worth a try and can be purchased for £6.75!

Have you tried it yet? What were your thoughts?

Supernatural Beauty* | Glorious Cleansing Balm & Redemption Face Oil | Review

If you're a regular on my blog, you will have heard about my love for Supernatural Beauty, but if haven't, Supernatural Beauty specialises in all natural, all organic, luxury skincare products, which are created without all the hidden ingredients and misleading labels that a lot of products in the current beauty market have. I first came across them at the Bloggers Hangout LFW Event (here) and have fallen in love with the brand since. You can find my Brand Focus post here.

Over the past month or so, I have been including the Supernatural Beauty Glorious Cleansing Balm and the Redemption Face Oil in my skincare routine, and oh my goodness you guys...the game has completely been changed!

The Glorious Cleansing Balm is a gorgeous exfoliating oil-based cleansing balm which is filled with citrus essential oils to cleanse, brighten and tone the skin, and it has been my go-to over the past month or so, to remove makeup and cleanse my skin after a long day! It works like a dream! Not only does the cleansing balm gently and effectively remove everyday dirt and make up (including waterproof mascaras & liquid lipsticks), it also contains Coconut Oil which seriously nourishes the skin and prevents moisture loss and Tea Tree and Lemon, which help to clear and brighten the complexion.
The balm is also super easy to work with! Most makeup products contain oils, and I have found that using an oil based cleanser has been so quick, easy and effective - all you have to do is take a bit of balm into hands (a little bit goes a long way) warm it between your fingers and massage it all over your face (we're talking serious panda eyes!) ... and then wipe your face clean using a warm flannel or a muslin cloth - it's that simple! I have noticed a massive difference in the way my skin looks and feels since I've incorporated the Glorious Cleansing Balm into my skincare routine, from looking very dry, dehydrated and dull to becoming visibly soft, supple and nourished. I can't recommend it enough!

I have also fallen head over heels in love with the Redemption Face Oil ...  it's basically like liquid gold, just look at it!

This stuff is honestly incredible.
It contains Abyssinian Oil, which is rich in omega 9 and gives you the most gorgeous glow, Premium Rosehip & CO2 Extract, which is super rich in antioxidants, Evening Primrose, to help even out skin tone and repair damaged skin, and Rose Otto Damask, which tones and moisturises the skin and gives  the Redemption Oil it's gorgeous smell! It also contains Vitamins A, B, C, D and E, as well as phosphorous, calcium, magnesium and salicylic acid.
I have really been enjoying using the Redemption Oil before going to bed, as a night time facial oil, as well as mixing a couple of drops into my foundation, for added moisture and a luminous glow. I love that although it is a facial oil, it is really lightweight and absorbs easily within the skin, while keeping it soft, smooth and radiant throughout the day.

As I've mentioned before, the products do come with a luxury price tag: the Glorious Cleansing Balm retails at £36.00 and the Redemption Oil retails at £45.00 : these products don't come cheap...but if you're looking for high quality and highly effective products which actually do what they say they will, then you're going to get what you pay for!

The products don't contain any parabens, petroleum, sulfates or any extra 'fillers' ...they are 100% natural and organic, and are created using high quality ingredients which actually work. If you have really sensitive or inflamed skin, or suffer from any skin conditions such as wrinkles, premature ageing, eczema or acne, it's definitely a brand worth looking into and so many people have had such amazing results!

Supernatural Beauty products are available on their own website, as well as in-store and online now at Content Beauty in Marylebone, London.

I have personally had amazing results from using these products - Have you tried anything their brand? What were your thoughts?

ARK Skincare : Pro Remove Pre Cleanse | Review

ARK is a premium quality British skincare brand which uses natural active ingredients to treat skin by age and skin concern. I first came across ARK Skincare at The Bloggers Hangout London Fashion Week Event (post here) and I was really impressed by the company and the concept of their products. The brand stands out for me because it is very age aware; they have product ranges specific to different age groups as they believe that different age ranges have different requirements for their skincare, and they also have a vast variety of skincare products including cleansers, face masks, moisturisers and many others!

Over the last month or so, I have been using the ARK Pro Remove Pre Cleanse* Oil and it has become a big part of my skincare routine! As you may know, my normal to dry skin has become very dry and dehydrated during the colder months, so I've been looking for products which will give my skin the TLC that it really needs and my Pro Remove Pre Cleanse by ARK has been exactly that!

Cleansing oil's have been very popular recently, and after trying out the ARK Pro Remove Pre Cleanse, I can see why - they're a lot more effective at removing long lasting make up and unlike water based cleansers, they don't completely dry out your skin, which works really well for me.

This cleansing oil has been specially designed to be used as the first step in a double cleanse routine as the multi fruit lipid blend works brilliantly at dissolving the make up, dirt and grime that the skin builds up throughout the day. It contains a blend of Grape Seed, Avocado and Kiwi Oil, which cleanses and nourishes the skin, as well as Zi Cao (an ayurvedic herb), which helps soothe sensitive skin.

To double cleanse my skin after a long day, I've been applying the ARK Pro Remove Pre Cleanse all over my face first and massaging it into the skin to dissolve the make up, and then I've been rinsing it off with warm water and going in my current everyday cleanser (which is the Skin Doctor's pH Balancing Cleanser).

It's important to bear in mind that ARK is a premium quality skincare brand, with a premium quality price tag. - the Pro Remove Pre Cleanse comes in a 150ml bottle and retails at £30, which I know isn't for everybody, but I find that the product has been effective for me and I've noticed a difference in the way my skin looks and feels since I've been using it.

Have you tried it yet? What were your thoughts?

NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks | Review & Swatches

The NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks finally arrived in the UK some time last week and everyone went crazy for them...including myself!
At first, I was really unsure of which shades to go for... the swatches on the website were fairly similar and I wasn't sure which tones would be suitable for my skin tone, but in the end, I settled for Bedtime Flirt, Embellishment and Teddy. A few days later, I placed a second order for the liquid lipsticks and this time, I opted for Exotic and Ruffle Trim.
Here are my thoughts :

Bedtime Flirt is a beautiful pinky shade which has peach undertones in it and I think it's a lovely every day nude. On my skin tone, its slightly on the lighter side but it's wearable. If you think it might wash you out a little, its worth pairing it with a slightly darker lip liner.
Exotic is one of my absolute favourites! I would describe it and being a muted brick-red/warm mahogany and it's definitely one of the bolder shades in the collection. I think it's so flattering on my complexion and I'm glad I managed to get my hands on it!
Embellishment is a bit different from all the other shades in the collection - it's a purple shade with grey undertones and I think its a brave choice but I'm going to find a way to make it work for me.
Ruffle Trim is like a darker, more coral toned version of Bedtime Flirt - it's a really pretty and really easy to wear. I think this shade would suit a lot of different skin tones.
Lastly, Teddy is a gorgeous darker nude. It has a real chocolate brown vibe to it and I think it's brave, but it looks amazing on!

The Lip Lingerie's are described as having a 'weightless, plush matte' finish and to an extent, I agree. In terms of application, they feel really creamy and then dry to a matte finish after a few seconds but in terms of the formula, I don't think they're too different from the NYX soft matte lip creams.

The Lip Lingerie's retail at £6.50 and I think they're really affordable, especially if you're on a budget. As with all of the other NYX products that I've tried so far, I think they're really good value for money and I've found that they're really long lasting on the lips as well.

Some people have had mixed reviews on the product and have claimed that they apply really patchy and are extremely drying on the lips, but I personally haven't experienced that.
I exfoliate and moisturise my lips before any lipstick application (especially if I'm using a liquid lipstick) and I find that it makes a massive difference! Definitely something to consider if you don't do it already.
